Ever had concerns about what might be in those creams and lotions you use every day to keep your skin moisturised? We pay attention to what we eat but often neglect the fact that our skin is designed to allow for absorption of substances into the bloodstream. We may absorb about a third of what we put on our skin. Here is a range of home-made face and body creams that are made from the finest natural ingredients like Shea and Cocoa Butter, rich oils such as Avocado and Rosehip Oil, and sumptuous essential oils such as Rose, Frankincense, Lavender or Grapefruit. They contain no parabens or other artificial ingredients and do a great job to moisturise, nourish and protect your skin.

Cosmetics blogger Louise Conway posted on her blog after trying out these creams

  • Face and Hand Cream: a  blend of rosehip and avodaco oils combined with cocoa butter and beeswax, with added aloe vera and Damask Rosewater, makes for a rich, nourishing cream that is easily absorbed into your skin. Rosehip oil is very high in linoleic and linolenic essential fatty acids. It has anti-wrinkle and regenerative properties. Avocado oil is high in Vitamins, including Vits. A + D, and has soothing properties for dry or inflamed skin.  Gently perfumed with E.O. Rose & Lavender, this is suitable for very dry skin.

Body Butters

These rich butters are best used straight after your shower. While very rich, they absorb deep into the skin and leave it moisturised for the whole day.  Here are some examples from a growing range of oils and scents - all designed with different skin types in mind.  To make enquiries as to what base oils will best suit your skin, email
