Consultation
A herbal consultation is the most valuable and effective way of working with herbal medicine to get relief for any symptoms you are manifesting, to use herbs to maintain good health and to strengthen your constitution.
Herbal consultations can be arranged by appointment. They are offered online or in person, so depending on where you live, Helen can easily facilitate a visit with you.
The first consultation involves an in-depth exploration of the presenting condition(s) and related history. Lifestyle factors will also be discussed and Helen is always keen to get as full a picture as possible in order to support you in making whatever changes might be required. Follow up information in relation to nutrition, stress management, activity levels and other advice is given.
Follow up consultations are scheduled a few weeks later in order to monitor progress and see what may be changing for you. This gives the herbalist a good sense of how you are responding and then to make appropriate adjustments to herbal prescriptions as required.
First appointment €60.00 Follow up appointment €40.00

Herbal Teas
Making a herbal infusion from fresh or dried herbs is a very old practice. When possible, I like to grow, pick and dry my own herbs in order to make up tea blends that have specific targeted actions. Herbal teas are caffeine free and, where possible, I source organically grown herbs. Some of the most popular tea blends are described below. Various combinations can be made up to address particular conditions so feel free to contact me to request an individual blend to suit your needs.
Body Products
There is a lot more awareness about skin and how we should treat it – the products we use for washing, what we apply to cleanse and moisturize it, and how we protect ourselves from too much sun exposure. When you consider that at least 30% of what we put on our skin can be absorbed into the bloodstream, then it really does matter what we put on it. Many commercial products contain unpleasant chemicals that are far from beneficial and we certainly could not consume.
Natural body and face creams have become popular in recent times, and we love them because they nourish the skin and yes, they also smell so good.
I love to experiment with different combinations of fragrances and butters to get the right consistency to create silky creams with a luxurious feel. The creams below are all made from the finest natural ingredients and are organically sourced whenever possible.
Rich Face Cream
Containing Rosehip oil, Jojoba oil, Shea Butter, Rosewater and extracts from a range of essential oils, this creates a rich cream, yet one that feels light and is quickly absorbed.
Body Butters
I often mix and match the butters when making these, using Shea, Mango and Cacao butters, adding avocado or coconut oils, and a range of essential oils designed to relax or to stimulate, depending on your mood, or the time of day.
Healing Creams and Oils
Many herbs can be applied to the skin as a cream or healing balm for skin conditions, such as eczema, skin inflammations (dermatitis), or cuts and bruises. Healing oils are infused oils that have great versatility and can be added to creams or as an ointment base.
